Kirt has been a Greensboro resident since 1963. She has lived in New Irving Park and Hamilton Forest. She has four children; 13 yr. son at Greensboro Academy, 18 yr daughter at North Carolina State University, 24 yr. son at Wake Forest Medical School and a 29 yr. son who is an Engineer. She is married to Yost & Little REALTOR, Ken Austin. Kirt attended Claxton Elementary, Kiser Middle and Grimsley High Schools. She is a parent volunteer at Joyner Elementary, Mendenhall Middle and Page High Schools.
